Designed as an intimate, acoustic world-music experience, this diverse concert will feature solo sets from our global artists, followed by collaborative performances showcasing traditional Sámi Hand Drums, Māori Taonga Puoro, Guitars, indigenous language and electronica fusion rhythms.

The Long Song: He Waiata Roa showcase concert is a once in a lifetime experience of original music in languages from around our world.
Featuring indigenous and first nation artists and instruments from Norway and Sweden, Cymru (Wales), Turtle Island (Canada), First Nation (Australia) and our te reo Māori artists from Aotearoa, the music and show will be curated and created over 10 days in Aotearoa at the The Long Song: He Waiata Roa residency and wānanga, spanning Te Tai Tokerau to Huia in the Watākere ranges with 20 artists involved.
Filled with Storytelling and Knowledge sharing of ancient customs, the artists share their new works to entertain and inspire new ears and hearts.
Many of these waiata will be the first ever created between 2 or 3 cultures and nations! You can expect a cross fusion of oro, where traditional instruments and languge meets future sounds in ways yo…
